There are many ways to serve at Providence Presbyterian Church.  We have listed the various areas you may volunteer at Providence.  Some of the sign ups are specific to certain groups and others are open to the congregation.  What are your spiritual gifts and how might you use them?  Maybe our list will encourage you to SIGN UP!  Also, if your church group has a sign up genius that is not listed, contact the church office with your sign up genius link and we will add it to our list.

  • Acolytes

Children ages 6-12 may serve as acolytes and provide the lighting and extinguishing of the altar candles (symbolizing bringing God’s light into the church and carrying it back out again).  Any young person in first through sixth grade (about ages 6 – 13) interested in being part of the Acolyte Program is welcome to join our group.  If your child is an acolyte and you would like to schedule him/her for a worship service, please sign up here!  Contact Nancy Baum if you have questions!

  • Lenten Devotional

The Worship Committee is planning a 2021 Lenten devotional with messages written by members and friends of PPC. The theme is the Parables of Jesus. Most days we’ll look at a parable, but on Sundays we’ll look at some of the OT passages that the NT writers cited as proof that Jesus was the messiah. You are invited to write a brief devotional message (approximately 200-350 words) on a Bible passage for this project. Poems, song lyrics, drawings, or other forms of artistic expression are also welcomed.  To select a passage and sign up, go here.
