Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer

Our gracious God of the covenant, your goodness knows no bounds. You have given us the world and all of its beauty. You have sent your Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us. You have sent your only Son to redeem us from ourselves.  Thank you for your mercies and blessings.

Give to those who are hurting and lonely a sense of your presence and ease of mind.

We pray for the ones who are sick and in need of your healing power.

We grieve with those who have lost a family member or a friend.  Please take their sorrow and turn it into hope for eternal life in Christ.

Grant a heart for justice to our leaders who make decisions that affect the lives of so many.  As they discern the right choices, turn their minds toward you who are just and loving in your wisdom.

Help us to be like Jesus in our thoughts and actions and to keep in our hearts the prayer he taught us… Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.
