Rev. David Rea was the guest Preacher today:
David Rea was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from Charlotte Country Day School and Appalachian State University. After college David attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte where he received his Master of Divinity degree. Following seminary, David served as assistant pastor of Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. In January of 2006, Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCPC) commissioned David to plant and establish a daughter church, Providence Presbyterian Church. Providence Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX, just celebrated her ten year anniversary.
David and his wife, Stefani, have three children: Virginia (17), Cole (15) and Jack (11). David is thankful for the wonderful legacy established by the historical Providence Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. One of the privileges often given to church planters in the Presbyterian Church in America is to name the church. For David there was only one choice: Providence Presbyterian Church. May the Lord Jesus give Providence Presbyterian Church of Dallas, TX, the same longevity to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ as her namesake.
