Prayers of the People

Lord, We thank you for being so connected to us that you know our fears and temptations, our lack of trust and how weak our faith is sometimes.  In your abundant love may we find refuge and deliverance from the things in the world that get in the way of our seeing you.

Help us to look to you first and always.  In seeking you, may we find a desire to share with others what you have given to each of us. Many are facing medical needs.   We pray for healing and ease of minds. Some are sick in spirit.  Equip us to give comfort to them and guide us how best to do that.  For the people of the world who know terror and war, we pray for peace and justice.

Grant to our leaders compassion and knowledge of the wrongs that need to be righted.  From Jesus ‘own hand we have been given the bread of life.   Show us how to share that life as we pray the prayer he taught)…Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.
