Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer

Our God, thank you for choosing us to be your own children. The life you have given us is rich with your grace and love, gifts that are ours forever. We celebrate your blessings with music and glad hearts.  Your covenant with us is everlasting.  Help us to keep our promises to you also.

For those who are facing surgery and medical treatments, grant them calm and trust as  their doctors and caregivers seek ways to alleviate and cure their suffering.

Many are alone and feel rejected. You never reject any of us. Help us to convey your inclusion and love to them.  In our busy days, give us  time  to speak to and visit and enjoy the company of those who are lonely.

We seek your guidance in bringing about your peace and your mercy in this world.  Give our elected leaders the wisdom to also seek your will to effect changes for good.

Jesus adopted us as his family.  We pray together as brothers and sisters the prayer he taught…

“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.”
