Mercy to Music

“Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me…”

Help me to hear what you see,
and see what you speak,
to know as  I am known,
to grow where I am sown.

To reach for those untouched,
and release the life I’ve clutched;
to throw caution to the wind,
if a kindness I might send.

To take a leap of faith,
and sail the winds of grace;
to forgive all from my heart,
and help each to sing their part

in that melodious song
echoing through ages long,
voiced still by sun and moon;
stars and seas sound its tune,

trees clap, waves pound, hills sing,
creation’s praise to her king.
Loose the cords so all as one
sing their verses to the Son.
