Parish the Thought: If you knew…
Thomas ‘a Kempis in “The Imitation of Christ” tells a story about how the Christ on the crucifix suddenly spoke to the monk who was so anxious about his salvation and said, “If you new that all was well, what would you, today, do, or stop doing?” C. S. Lewis adds, “When you have found the answer, do it or stop doing it.”
And if you were that monk so addressed by the crucified Christ what would your answer be?
Now can you hear Mr. Lewis’ whispering his counsel in your ear?
“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well.” (Julian of Norwich)
