The Diaconate is a group of officers who are elected to serve as Deacons. Their ministry is one of compassion, care and service. Our Deacons minister to those in need, the sick, the friendless and to any who may be in distress. (That’s from the Book of Order.) They review and recommend the ministries which we support through our benevolent budget, they oversee the Deacons Fund which aids those in the Charlotte community who find themselves in dire circumstances and need emergency assistance. We have a very active group of deacons who lead us to become a more caring, compassionate church.
