There are many ways to serve at Providence Presbyterian Church. We have listed the various areas you may volunteer at Providence. Some of the sign ups are specific to certain groups and others are open to the congregation. What are your spiritual gifts and how might you use them? Maybe our list will encourage you to SIGN UP! Also, if your church group has a sign up genius that is not listed, please email Tricia Shaw with your sign up genius link and she will add it to our list.
Children ages 6-12 may serve as acolytes and provide the lighting and extinguishing of the altar candles (symbolizing bringing God’s light into the church and carrying it back out again). Any young person in first through sixth grade (about ages 6 – 13) interested in being part of the Acolyte Program is welcome to join our group. If your child is an acolyte and you would like to schedule him/her for a worship service, please sign up here! Contact Carmen Bajorski if you have questions!
The Attic Sale takes place each February. If you have questions, please contact Joanna Hipp.

Moment for Children
Thanks so much for being willing to provide the Moment for Children for the youngest members of PPC! Please sign up for at least one Sunday and ideally for both services that Sunday. If you’re only available for one service on a Sunday, that’s okay too. After you’ve signed up, you’ll receive a reminder from Sign-Up Genius the Monday before your Sunday. To find the lectionary readings for your Sunday, visit the PC(USA) lectionary website and click on the corresponding date on the calendar for Sunday/Festival readings. To find suggestions for how to talk about the Bible passages for your Sunday in ways that children will understand, visit the Worshiping With Children website and click on the corresponding date. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Mace. Please click here to sign up.
Do you have the gift of music? We are always looking for musical talent to include in worship on Sunday. Please email Michael Clawson if you have questions or would like to participate in worship through music.
Please consider signing up to remove our recyclables so that we may continue to be good stewards of God’s creation. Our recycling efforts help us to maintain our Earth Care Congregation Certification. Thank you in advance for signing up here!
Twelve women from the Salvation Army Center of Hope will be staying at Providence from October 23 through November 6, 2017. This outreach requires a lot of helping hands, so if you would like to volunteer to help with laundry/bedding, meals, transportation or hostess, please click here and sign up!
PPC Trunk or Treat
What is it? It’s a free, fun, safe, community-oriented alternative or addition to “trick or treating”. Volunteers park their vehicles in the church parking lot and hand out nut free candy or trinkets to the children. Our PPC youth will be hosting carnival games for the children to partake in as well as handing out popcorn and lemonade to our trick or treaters.
